Columbia is home to a wide variety of dog breeds, ranging from small, energetic terriers to larger, more laid-back herding and guard dogs. The country’s most popular breeds include the Boyacá Scissor-Tailed Dog, a small, loyal terrier; the Colombian Mastiff, a robust guard dog; and the Colombian Hairless Dog, a medium-sized, short-haired breed. Other popular breeds include the Santander Scenthound, the Bogotá Bulldog, and the Colombian Dogo.
