The American Mastiff is a medium to large-sized, muscular, deep-chested beef-type working bullmastiff. It is a fairly new, but fast-growing, relatively new, but fast-growing, very large, and very strong breed of domesticated canine.

American Mastiff Physical Characteristics
The American Mastiff is a large, medium-sized, or giant, mastiff-type breed that typically stands between 27 and 30 inches at the shoulder and weighs between 150 and 200 pounds. They have a large, heavy, muscular body and a short, coarse, tightly curled or corded, or rough, weather-resistant, double coat that is red, fawn, brindle, or a mix of these colors. They have a square head and a wrinkled, wide muzzle. The American Mastiff’s eyes are dark brown and they have a heavy, drooping jaw. They are powerful, fearless, and protective.

American Mastiff Activity Requirements
American Mastiffs are a muscular and powerful dog. They were originally bred as guard dogs and are notoriously loyal and protective. Daily walks are an excellent way to provide your American Mastiff with mental and physical stimulation. A daily walk will also give your dog the exercise and socialization that they need. It should be noted that while most American Mastiffs have a calm, even temperament, their size and strength means that they require quite a bit of training. They are not recommended for first time dog owners.
