Australasian Bosdog History
The Australasian Bosdogg is a fairly new hybrid, or designer, dog breed that was created in Australia in the early 2000s. The breeding program for the Australis Bosdog began in 2003, when two American breeders created the Crossdale Australian Terrier. The Crossdale Australian Terrier was the result of a cross between the Beagle and the Border Collie. The Australis Bosdogg dogs are bred from a combination of the Borador and the Australian Terrier. The Australis Bosdogg is recognized by the Designer Breed Registry and by the Rare and Exotic Canine Registry. Most Australian Shepherds do best in homes with yards where they can run around. They are not a high-energy breed, but they still need moderate amounts of exercise and mental stimulation. They thrive with frequent walks, outdoor play, and games of fetch. If you are looking for a companion who is a good jogging or hiking partner, an Australian Shepherd might be a good choice.
