Bea Griffon History

The Beag (Scottish Gaelic for “small”) is a much smaller version of the Scottish Terrier. Beags were formerly referred to as “Scotch Terrier, small” or “Scottie, wee” to distinguish them from the larger Scottie, which is an entirely different type of terrier. The Beag is believed to have descended from the Skye Terrier.

Bea Griffon Activity Requirements

Bea Griffons are a relatively rare, but increasingly popular, breed of dog. They are sweet, gentle, and playful companions. Like most small, short-nosed breeds, Bea Griffons have a need for regular exercise. They are well suited to homes with yards that allow them to play and run, but they also do well on daily walks. If you have your heart set on one of these adorable pups, be prepared to give them the time and attention they need. This is not a pet that will be happy spending the day alone in your back yard. Be sure you have time to spend with your dog and give them the exercise and attention they crave.
