Border Sheepdog History

Developed in Northern England and southern Scotland, the Border Collie is thought to have descended from the rough-coated black and tan collie of the British Isles. It shares a history with several other herding and sheep-herding dogs, including the Australian Kelpie, Scottish Rough, and Irish Wolfhound.
