Boxer Basset History
The Boxer Basset is a hybrid, or designer, cross-breed that was created in the 1990s by breeding a Bulldog and a Beagle together. The Boxer Basset is a medium-sized, sturdy, muscular, short-haired, square-proportioned, muscular, athletic-looking, and rather heavy-boned dog with a calm, easy-going, and obedient temperament. The Boxer Basset has a somewhat flat back, a wide forehead, and a square muzzle.
Boxer Basset Physical Characteristics
The Boxer Basset is a small, medium/large-sized, long-coated, hound-type breed of dog with a muscular, well-proportioned, and heavily-boned body and a square head. Their short, thick, glossy, and coarse coat is fawn, white, or white with patches of any other shade of fawn. Their ears are erect and pointed and their eyes are dark brown in color. They have a dark nose with a triangular stop. The boxer (boxer as in boxing) is energetic and athletic, while the basset is a large, slow-moving, and easy-going breed. Both breeds are friendly and eager to please.
