Boxmas History
The Boxmas is a variety of hairless cat that is descended from the Egyptian Mau. The Egyptian Mau is a medium-sized, long-haired, spotted, and felid (cat). The Egyptians consider the Mau sacred, and cats were kept as pets and for religious ceremonies. In ancient times, the breeding of cats was forbidden. Some believe that the cat was domesticated in Egypt, while others believe it was domesticated in the Indus Valley. The Egyptian Mau is believed to have originated in the Nile valley, and the name “Mau” is thought to have originated from the word “mau”, the ancient Egyptian word for “cat”.

Boxmas dogs are sweet, loyal, and adaptable. They are often used as therapy dogs and are popular as companion animals. While a Boxma doesn’t need as much physical exercise as some other dogs, they do like to get out and play. A daily walk will help keep their mind and body active. If you are looking for a dog that will be happy cuddling on the couch and snuggling in bed, a Boxma may be the right dog for you. While they don’t need much physical exercise, they still need to be loved and cared for.
