Boxollie History
The Boxoloi is a designer hybrid or newly-created breed of miniature pinscher, and pug. The Boxoloi is a hybrid, or designer, breed that was developed in the United Kingdom in the early 2000s. The breeder of the Boxoloi, Steve English, named his creation after the Italian word for ‘boxer’. The Boxolii is an offshoot of the ‘Boxer-Pinscher’, a pit bull terrier mixed with a miniature pinscher, which first appeared in the United States in the 1970s. The Boxer-Pinscher was a popular fad at the time, but is now believed to have many health problems. The Boxer-Pinscher breeds were discontinued in the 1980s, but new hybrids have since emerged. Boxollie Temperament and Behaviour
The Boxollie is a fun-loving and energetic small dog. They have a very playful and curious personality and love to be around their owners. They are often described as mischievous, which leads them to get into things they shouldn’t. They are highly intelligent and are easy to train, but they can also be stubborn and impulsive at times.
Boxollie Activity Requirements
Boxollies are a docile, sweet-natured, playful, and energetic breed. They are small and compact, making them perfect companions for smaller households. Due to their small size and high energy, Boxollies do best in a home with a backyard. While they are a high-energy, playful dog, they are not overly demanding when it comes to their exercise routine. They only need about an hour of vigorous activity each day. This can be split up into several short walks or combined into one long play session. Because they don’t require a lot of exercise and can get anxious or bored easily, it is important to give your Boxollie plenty of attention when they aren’t exercising. This can help prevent them from developing behavior issues.
