Briquet Griffon Vendeen Activity Requirements
Briquet Griffon Vendeen, or “BGVs,” are a versatile, medium-sized, hunting dog that originated in the Vendee region of France. They are still used for hunting today, but they are more commonly kept as companions. BGVs can be very active and high-energy, so they need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. A daily walk or jog, combined with play time, will keep your BGV happy. They also enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including agility, tracking, and hunting. If you are looking for a highly-active dog, a BGV may be a great choice for you. However, be aware that these dogs are high-maintenance and may require more of your time than some other breeds.
