Brug Activity Requirements

The Belgian Sheepdog (also known as a “Brussels Griffon”) is an intelligent, playful, and all-around excellent companion. Before being recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2012, they were known as the “Belgian Tervuren.” They have a strong work ethic and are easy to train. When they aren’t out enjoying their walks or playing in the yard, they can be extremely cuddly and affectionate. The Belgian Sheepdog is a medium-sized dog that weighs between 30 and 45 pounds. They stand between 15 and 17 inches at the shoulder. They generally live between 12 and 14 years. The Belgian Sheepdog is intelligent, eager to please, and moderately energetic. A daily walk or a vigorous play session a day will meet most of their energy needs. If you are thinking of adding one of these friendly, obedient companions to your family, be sure that you are ready for their moderate energy levels. They will need daily exercise and affection to be happy and well-adjusted.
