The Cao Fila de Sao Miguel is a Portuguese livestock guardian and guard dog. The origin and purpose of the Cao Fila is unknown, but it is believed to have developed in the mountainous regions of Portugal. The Cacá is a medium size, strong, agile, and loyal canine. Its size is comparable to that of the German Shepherd. The Cacá is suspicious of strangers, and will protect its flock and homeng by barking and biting.
