Cavapom History
The Cavachon is a mixed-breed or hybrid puppy that is the result of breeding a catahoula leopard hound with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. It is also known as the Cavoodle, which is an affectionate name used for this mix. A Cavachon is 50% canidate, 25% cavalier king charles spaniel, and 25% catahoula leopard hounds. The dog is medium in size and generally has smooth, short, and silky hair. The origins of this mixed-breed puppy are unknown. There is speculation that it came about by accident, but that it would have been too costly and time consuming to deliberately produce it.

Cavapom Activity Requirements
The Cavapoo is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Toy Poodle. It is a popular designer dog that is small, friendly, and adaptable. Like most mixed-breed dogs, the Cavapoo’s temperament will be dependent on its parentage. In general, though, these dogs are outgoing, playful, and adaptable. While they may not be high maintenance, the Cavapoo does need daily exercise and attention. Daily walks, games of fetch, and a good fenced-in yard are all great ways to meet these pups’ needs.
