Chesadores are also good family dogs and are often described as sweet-natured and gentle. The Chesador’s large size and guardian instincts make it a great watchdog. They are also protective of their homes and family members, making them an excellent candidate for protection training. The Chesador is a high-energy dog that will need regular exercise and playtime. They are not well-suited for apartment living, as they will require a fenced yard where they can run and burn off energy. While they are energetic, they are not a hyper or high-strung dog.
