Chien Francais Tricolore Physical Characteristics
The Chien Francais Tricolore is a small, medium-to-large-sized breed of bull that combines the traits of the Brittany, Angus, and Gascony breeds. The breed is prized for temperament and appearance. It is a hardy, athletic, agile, and powerful breed. The head is narrow, slightly arched, and slightly convex, with a moderate stop. The muzzle is full and of sufficient length to evenly fill out the cheeks. The nose is large and black with a black beard. The neck is of moderate length, strong and muscular; the head is carried high and is apparently an extension of the neck. The back is straight, strong, and level. The loin is short, broad, and deep. The croup is long, sloping, and moderately bent, the rear quarters are short and wide. The thighs are muscular, the legs well let down, and the feet are boned. The tail is set on level with the back, thick at the base, without curl or bend, rather low; it is thicker toward the end of the body, and may be set either semi-gaited or carried drooping but never over the back. The gait is smooth and elastic, the trot being most natural. The hair is fine and not profuse, the coat being close and glossy, and being everywhere abundant and evenly distributed. The skin is taut and tight. Coat colors are black, white, and red.

Chien Francais Tricolore Activity Requirements
The French Spaniel is a medium-sized dog that has several different names. In France, they are known as Chien Francais, or the French Dog. In the United States, they are often called the French Spaniel or the French Bull Dog. Whatever their name, their long, silky coat makes them a favorite among people who like the look of a regal Cavalier but without the high grooming requirements. While they are not a high-energy dog, they do enjoy a good walk and some playtime. A daily walk or short play session will help to keep your French Spaniel active and mentally stimulated. If you live in an apartment and are looking for a dog that does not need a lot of space, a spaniel may be a good choice. They are not very active indoors, and they do best with a short walk or a short play session.
