The Chiweenie is a mixed-breed or hybrid dog. The first recorded mention of a Chiweenie was in a 1965 newspaper article that described it as a “designer” or “hybrid” between Chihuahuas and Dachshund. The Chiweenie was popularized when Marie Dressler, a famous star of the silent movie era, acquired one.
