Clumberton Temperament and Behaviour
The Clumberton is a gentle, caring, and protective dog. They are still very active, however, and will need regular exercise. They are very intelligent and easy to train, but they can also be stubborn. The Clumberton is not aggressive or overly dominant. They are typically gentle and loving with their family members, but can be standoffish with strangers.
Clumberton Activity Requirements
Clumbertons were once known as “Clumber Spaniels” because they were bred to hunt woodcocks. These days, they are also known as “Clumberdoodles.” This hybrid of an English Cocker and a Poodle is a popular choice for families with children. While they are very active, they are not as high-energy as some other breeds. They will need a daily walk or jog, but they will be just as happy lounging around the house. Clumbertons also do very well in homes with children. While they don’t need to be high-energy, they do need to be socialized with children. This is an ideal dog for an active family with children who will enjoy taking this playful pup on walks and romping in the great outdoors.
