Crustie History
The Crustie is a fairly new hybrid, or designer, crossbreed that resulted from mating a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. The Crustie is a medium-sized hybrid that is the result of breeding a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. The breeders at Blue Pearl Kennel in Hot Springs, Arkansas developed the mixed-breed when they decided they wanted a smaller version of the bichon. They crossed a poodle with a yorkies, and ended up with a dog that was part bichon, part yorkie, and part poodle. The crusties are advertised as having “the best traits of both parent breeds”.

Crustie Activity Requirements
The Chihuahua is a popular dog that is known for its small size and spunky attitude. They are a popular companion for people of all ages, and they aren’t as fragile as they appear. Chihuahuas do require regular exercise in order to stay healthy and happy. While they don’t require a ton of space, they do need to be able to move around freely. Daily walks, trips to the dog park, or playing in the yard are all great ways to keep your Chihuahua happy.
