Doxie-Pin Temperament and Behaviour

The Doxie-Pin is a happy, spunky, and outgoing breed of small domestic dog. They are playful and energetic, but they can also be calm when they are alone. They get along well with children, other dogs and cats, but can sometimes get a little jealous or territorial.

Doxie-Pin Activity Requirements

Dachshunds were bred to be hunting dogs, and they have retained that instinct. They are curious and stubborn, and they need a fenced yard to prevent them from wandering off. A daily walk or jog is a great way to get your dog the exercise that they need. These short little legs were made for running, so they will be thrilled to be taken out for a sprint. If your dachshund doesn’t have access to a safe, fenced-in area, they may need to be walked on a leash at all times. They are great watch dogs and they enjoy exploring their surroundings, but they can be prone to wandering off if something catches their attention.
