Doxle Physical Characteristics

The Doxie is a small, medium-to-large sized breed of dog of the spitz type, developed in Germany. The breed was first recognized by the AKC in 1888. Other names such as Little Lion Dog, Munich Spaniel, and English Lion Terrier have also been used for this breed. The Doxle has a long, double coat of fur that is very water-resistant, and comes in two varieties: salt and pepper and black and tan. The black and tan doxies have a variety of markings while the salt and pepper doxies are solid in color. The doxie is a friendly and intelligent breed of small dogs. They make excellent companion pets.
