English Bull Staffy History
The English Bull Staffy is a medium-sized, muscular, short-haired, bull-type terrier. The English Bulldog and the English Staffordshire Terrier are close relatives. The origins of this hybrid are unclear, but it is believed that a cross between the two breeds occurred sometime in the 1800s. The hybrid was incorrectly named “Staff-Bull”, which became “Staff-bull” (the “t” was dropped), “staffie”, and eventually “Staff”.
