The Finnish Hound is a medium-large sized breed of hunting hound that originated in Finland. The breed is medium sized, and possesses a great deal of endurance. The head is long and narrow, with hints of foxiness. The nose and lips are black. Their ears are erect and triangular, set high on the head. Their tail is bushy, and tapers to a point. The eyes of the breed are round and a bit of a light brown. Their feet are large, with arched toes. The fur of the Finnish Hound is short and thick, usually an even mixture of gray and black with lighter shades of both.
