Free-Lance Bulldog Temperament and Behaviour

The Free-Lance Bulldog is an easygoing and good-natured breed that makes a great family pet. They are generally calm, but may occasionally be stubborn. They are protective of their owners, but are also gentle and friendly, especially with children.

Free-Lance Bulldog Activity Requirements

While they are commonly referred to as “Bulldogs,” these dogs are not actually a part of the American Kennel Club (AKC) Bulldog group. They were originally bred as fighting dogs and were known as “bull-baiters” in England. Today, they are a popular pet because of their sweet nature and their gentle, even temperament. They are good with children and other pets. While they don’t need much exercise, a Free-Lanced Bulldog will benefit from a daily walk. They will also need regular interaction with their human family members. They can be very affectionate and may become destructive if left alone for long periods of time. While these dogs are prized for their friendly and gentle nature, they are also known for their stubborn and independent spirit. They are not the easiest of breeds to train, but they can be trained with patience and consistency.
