Gerberian Shepsky Physical Characteristics
The Gerberian Shepsky is a cross between the Siberian Husky and the German Shepherd. The breed standard recommends that the pups be born dark to grizzle in color, however, some end up as light colored dogs. The adult size of the Gerberian Shepsoky is 75 to 100 pounds and 22 to 25 inches at the withers. Their coats are double layered, thick and coarse, and their eyes are a dark, wolf-like blue-gray. They have a strong jaw and teeth used for pulling and killing prey and a thick tail with triangular shaped tip. They possess a high endurance and are often used as sled dogs.
