Giant Wire Hair Schnauzer History
The Giant Wire Haired Schnauzer is a giant version of the traditional wire-haired schnauzer. Most standard-sized schnauzers are black, while most giants are either salt and pepper or brindle. The Giant Schnauzer Club of America was formed in 1964 by a few enthusiasts and breeders who felt that there needed to be an organization to share information and data. The club held its first national specialty show in 1966. The AKC recognized the GSDCA in 1967.

It has a deep, wide muzzle, flat skull, and almond shaped eyes. Its fur is longer on its neck, stomach, and back.
