Golden Sammy Activity Requirements

The Samoyed is a medium-size spitz-type dog that originally came from Siberia. They are intelligent, sweet, and friendly, and they make wonderful companions. Although they are medium-sized, Samoyeds do require some moderate exercise and mental stimulation. They are best suited to a home with a yard where they can run around and play. A daily walk or jog is a good option for keeping your Samoyed happy, but if you are looking for a more active companion, a running or hiking buddy might be a better fit. If you are looking for a good apartment dog, a Samoyed might not be the best choice. They prefer to be with their people, and they need time outside to burn off energy.
