The Greater Swiss Rottweiler is a medium to large-sized, long-coated breed of working dog. The typical male is 25 to 28 inches (63 to 71 cm) at the withers and 110 to 130 lb (50 to 59 kg) while the female is 23 to 26 inches (58 to 66 cm) and 100 to 120 lb (45 to 54 kg). The breed standard calls for a double-layered coat that is hard and oily to the touch and of medium length. The colour should preferably be solid white or almost white, but dogs with dominantly marked or coloured patches are also accepted. A dark mask and nose are desirable.
