Hava-Apso History
The Hava-Apso is a medium-to-large sized, hypoallergenic, intelligent, and loyal herding and guard dog. The origin of the name “Hava-apo” comes from the words “hava”, which means “a handful” and “apso”, which is Greek for “pointed” or “sharp”. The Hava-Apso, also known as the Havanese-Australian Silky Terrier, is a very intelligent and devoted family member. The temperament of the Hava-Apso is sweet-tempered, lively, friendly, and loyal. The conformation of the Apso is cobby, with an alert and confident expression and intelligent eyes. The coat of the Apso is of moderate length, silky and straight. The coat colours are black, brown, blue, cream, coal, grey, red, brindle, and merle.

The Hava-Apso is a small, medium-to-large-sized, long-coated breed of dog that originated in Hungary. They are easily recognizable by their huge, bushy hair coat. They have similar characteristics to the Bichon Frise and Maltese breeds.
