Hortaya Borzaya Activity Requirements
Hortaya Borzaya, or the Russian Wolfhound, is a large, handsome dog that is believed to have originated in Russia. They are typically considered to be independent and stubborn, but can also be incredibly loyal and loving. Because the Russian Wolfhound is a working dog, they need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They are well-suited to homes with plenty of room to romp, and they enjoy going on long walks, hikes, and jogs. The Russian Wolfhound is not a good choice for apartment living, or for people who have little time to dedicate to their dogs. This large, high-energy dog requires a home and an owner who are willing to put time and effort into providing adequate mental and physical stimulation.
