The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla is a breed of gundog developed in Hungary. The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla is a medium-large-sized, graceful, muscular, and athletic dog. The coat is of moderate length, coarse, and slightly wavy. The colour may be all shades of apricot, gold, orange, white, silver, or dun- with or without dark points. The wirehair is usually richer in longer hair, although a short-wirehair exists. The hair is soft and dense and lies close to the body. The tail is carried low and is of sufficient length to cover the ground. The skull is broad and flat, and the ears are pendant and triangular in shape. The eyes are almond-shaped and dark brown or black. The nose is black. The chest is deep and the front legs are straight. The hindquarters are powerful and well muscled. The feet are round, compact, and compact with arched toes. The male is 52–61 centimetres (20–24 in) at the withers, while the female is 50–56 centimetres (20–22 in) at the withers.
