Jackweiler History

The Jackweiler is a mixed-breed or hybrid dog that is the result of breeding a Jack Russell Terrier with a Chihuahua. TheJack Russell Terrier is a toy breed of domesticated foxhound that originated in England in the mid-19th century. The Foxhounds were known to hunt foxes, and when those predators started to become scarce, the foxhounds were turned loose on rabbits instead. Through selective breeding, the Foxhound was left with a keen hunting instinct, but considerable smaller size. The Foxhound was officially recognized in 1885. The Chihuahua is a breed of small, rustic dog that originated in Mexico. The Chihuahua was originally bred to be a ratter and a watch-dog, and was often kept in monasteries and ruled by a “monk”. It was called the “Mexican hairless”, because the early specimens had wrinkled skin, but this folded-over appearance is no longer found in most specimens. The Mexican hairless eventually evolved into the smooth-coated Chihuahua. The Chihuahua is descended from the Techichi, a now-extinct native American canine.

The Jackweiler is a breed of German hunting dog that is a cross between a German Shepherd and a Cairn Terrier. They are smart, courageous, and protective. They love to be with their family and are very loyal to them. They are very obedient and are easy to train. The Jackweiler makes a great pet, as they are gentle and get along well with children. They have a lot of energy, and when bored they will often get into mischief.
