Their wide set, oval eyes come in a variety of colors and their nose is a dark, solid black. Their ears are large and deep. The July Hound has a smushed muzzle and their lips are tight. They have fairly short legs and a long tail.

The July Hound is a calm, gentle and devoted breed. They are generally quiet and calm indoors and like to be close to their owners. They are very good around children, and are usually very sociable with other dogs. They can sometimes be shy or stubborn, however, and may be better suited for experienced dog owners.
July Hound Activity Requirements
July Hounds are intelligent, independent, and energetic. They need lots of exercise and room to run. They do not do well in apartment settings. July Hounds were bred to be hunting dogs, and they require approximately 2 hours of vigorous activity per day. This can include jogging, hiking, or running. If you are looking for a highly active and highly intelligent dog, a July Hound may be right for you. While they do not need a ton of space, they do require a lot of activity and attention.
