Neahond History
The Neahondu is a Finnish spitz type working farmdog. It is the same species as the Alaskan Malamute, and is similar in appearance, but with a longer coat. It was traditionally used to herd reindeer and pull sleighs, but now is used as a family pet.

The Norwegian Elkhound is a medium-sized, long-haired hunting breed that typically stands between 23 and 27 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 60 and 90 pounds. They have a large, muscular build with a long, narrow head. Their double coat of fur is mottled gray and white with black markings. The Norwegian Elkhound has large, triangular ears, a docked tail, and a black nose. They are alert, intelligent, and fearless dogs.
