New Shep History

The New Shepard is a designer hybrid dog that was created in the 1990s. The New Shepard is an affectionate, loyal and intelligent hybrid. The mixed-breed offspring of a New Shep is called a Newfling. The parents of a New Shep are most often a Newfoundland and a German Shepherd. The mix between the Newfoundland and the German Shepherd is called an F1. Crossbreeding the F1 with a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (a water retriever) creates the F2, and that combination produces the F3. The F4 is the cross between a F3 and a Labrador Retriever.
