They have a compact, sturdy, and muscular build with a wedge-shaped head. Their short and smooth coats may be solid, white, or a mixture of these colors and they have round, dark eyes. Peka-A-Wests are sweet, playful, energetic, and spunky dogs.

The Peka-A-West is a loving, gentle, and devoted companion. They are devoted to their families and bond very strongly to them. They are extremely good with small children and can get along with other pets. However, they are not recommended for homes with small children.

Peka-A-West Activity Requirements

The Peka-A-West is a cross between an American Eskimo Dog and a Miniature American Shepherd. They are an intelligent, friendly, and energetic small-to-medium sized dog. While Peka-A-West have moderate energy, they do require frequent exercise and mental stimulation. They are best suited to a home with a fenced yard where they can play and run around. A daily walk or jog will also be beneficial. Peke-A-West are intelligent and curious and will enjoy exploring their surroundings. They will need toys to keep them occupied when they are not able to participate in other activities.
