Pekalier Temperament and Behaviour

Pekalier Activity Requirements

The Pekingese is a happy, intelligent, and playful dog that makes a great companion. While they were originally bred as show dogs, they have also been used as guard dogs and hunters. While they are not a particularly high-energy breed, they do need regular mental and physical exercises. A daily walk or jog will help to keep them happy and healthy. They also like to play games like fetch and they enjoy puzzle toys to keep their mind sharp. The Pekingese is a relatively low maintenance dog. Their short coats don’t require a lot of grooming and their small size makes them a good fit for smaller living spaces. If you live in an apartment or don’t have a yard, the Pekingese may be an ideal fit.
