The Pointer, the Ibizan Hound, the Clumber Spaniel, and the Bloodhound were interbred to form the American Pointer and the Giant Schnauzer. The Pointer and the Bloodhound were crossed to form the Bearded Collie. The Bearded Collie was exported to Australia in 1874 and to the United States in 1906.
