Petit Bleu de Gascogne History
The Petit Bleu de Gascogne, or PBGD, is a herding and watchdog dog breed. This hybrid was created in France in the 1970s by crossing the Bichon Frise with the Blue Picardy Sheepdog. The PBGD is a small, compact, compact, square-proportioned, athletic, and intelligent working and companion dog. It is smaller than its larger, more muscular and heavier-coated cousin, the Grand Bleu de Gascogne. The coat of the PBGD is double, with a soft texture, and comes in a variety of colours, most commonly white, black, blue, or grey. The PBGD is not recognized by the UKC or AKC, but is recognized by the American Rare Breed Association.

Petit Bleu de Gascogne Activity Requirements
Petite Biche de Gascogne, or PBGV, are large, strong hunting and guard dogs that were bred to scent, track, and chase down prey. They are an ancient, rare, and unique breed of dog. While they are not very active, they do require regular exercise. They may not be suited for high-energy families, but they can be great for people who like to go on leisurely walks. They will enjoy a short jog or a long hike with you. While PBGVs are not well-suited to living in an apartment, they make good companions for people who live in the country or who have a fenced yard. They need space to run and stretch their legs.
