Pug Shiba History
The Pug Shiba is a cross-breed of two distinct types of dogs, the Pug and the Shiba Inu, and was created by breeding two male pugs and a male shiba. Although this hybrid is uncommon, the shiba-pugna combination is becoming increasingly popular. The shiba-pugna mix is an appealing option for owners who want a fun-loving, yet loyal and smart, pet. A shiba-pugna is an attractive mix of the shiba inu and the pug. The shiba-pugna is not recognized as a purebred, although some owners may register their pets with the American Kennel Association (AKC). A shiba-pugna can be registered with the AKC under the name “Japanese Pug”.

Pug Shiba Temperament and Behaviour
The Pug Shiba is a curious, playful, and mischievous pet. They can be a bit stubborn and willful, so early training and socialization is very important. They are independent and like to do things on their own, but they also get along well with children and other pets. They can be very protective of their families and will not hesitate to chase off potential threats.
Pug Shiba Activity Requirements
Pug Shiba Inus are a playful, friendly hybrid that is a cross between two of the most popular small breeds. While they are not as high-energy as other small breeds, Pug Shiba Inus do require regular activity. A daily walk or jog will help to keep your Pug Shiba Inu happy. While they don’t require a long or intense workout, they do like to play. A good game of fetch or tug-of-war is a fun way to exercise your pup. While they don’t need as much room as larger dogs, a fenced-in yard is a good place for them to exercise and burn off excess energy. They are also well suited to apartment living. However, they do benefit from one-on-one interaction with their owners.
