Rhodesian Labrador History
The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a type of medium to large-sized domesticated ridged-coated African Sighthound. It is classified as a member of the Hound Group. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a muscular, agile, graceful, and energetic animal. The characteristic “ridge” is a series of bumps along the spine, giving the appearance of a ridge of hair. The ridges do not form a complete ring, but stop well short of the tail. The coat is short and smooth, with a dense undercoat. The colour is fawn, red, or black; the ears and tail are usually black. The nose is black. The coat colour is darker on the back, fading to a lighter shade on the belly and under the legs. The legs are long, and parallel when viewed from above. The head is lean, with moderately long muzzle and a strong jaw; the muzzle tapers to the nose. The skull is slightly rounded. The eyes are brown, almond-shaped, and set wide apart. The ears are long and pendant, and hang loosely at the sides. The tail is thick at the base, tapering to a point. The dewclaws are usually removed.

The Rhodesian Lab is an energetic, playful, and fun-loving breed that is full of affection. They are very intelligent, which makes training easy. Rhodesian Labrador Activity Requirements
Rhodesian Labs are a high-energy, medium-sized hybrid with a long coat. They were originally bred for hunting, and today they are one of the most popular hunting breeds. They are also great family dogs and are loyal and affectionate. Labs are very active, and they benefit from an active lifestyle. They will do best in a home with an active owner or a family that likes to spend time outdoors. A daily walk or jog is ideal, or they can be taken on runs or hikes. While they are not the ideal dog for everyone, a Lab can be a great companion for an active owner. If you have the time, energy, and space for a Lab in your life, they can be a rewarding pet.
