Samoyed History
The Samoyede is a breed of working sleddog from Siberia. The Samoyed has a heavy double coat, a dense undercoat, and a longer, straighter outer guard hairs. The head is wedge-shaped, with a broad, deep muzzle and a bushy beard. The medium-sized eyes are almond-shaped and dark brown, with the inner corners of the eye darker than the outer ones.

They are highly trainable and willing to learn, which makes them suitable for advanced training and activities. They are friendly and sociable with other dogs and animals, but can sometimes be cautious and wary of strangers.
Samoyed Activity Requirements
Samoyeds were traditionally bred as reindeer herders, and they still retain these traits today. They are highly intelligent and hardworking, and they are excellent trackers. While they are not as high energy as some other breeds, they do require regular exercise. They are best suited to homes where they can run around outside, either in a fenced area or on leash. A daily walk or jog will be enough to keep your Samoyed healthy and happy.
