Schapendoes Activity Requirements
The Schapendoes is a Dutch farm dog and is thought to be closely related to the Keeshond. They were originally bred as cattle and sheep herders, but today they are also popular companion animals. Despite their large size, Schapendoes are not high-energy dogs. They are happiest when given a moderate amount of exercise and attention. They are generally friendly, easy-going, and eager to please. A daily walk or short jog is the best way to let your Schapendoes get their energy out. They are quiet, gentle dogs that get along well with just about everyone, so they are well-suited for homes with children and other pets.
