Schip-A-Pom History
The Schip-A-Pom, also known as a “Schaubu”, is a mixed-breed dog that was developed in the Netherlands in the 1990s. The Schaubu is the result of breeding a Schipperke with a Cocker Spaniel. The Schaubu is a cross between a Schipperke and a Cocker Spaniel. It often weighs between 12 and 16 kg (26 and 35 lb), with the males typically weighing more than the female. The Schaubu is a sweet-natured, intelligent, and affectionate dog. The Schaubu makes an excellent family pet, but can also be trained for a wide range of jobs.

Schip-A-Pom Activity Requirements
Schip-A-Poms, also known as schnauzer-pomeranian mixes, are cute, small dogs with a lot of energy. They are often described as being “miniature schnauzers.” Because of their small size, schnauzer-pomeranian mixes require less space than most other large-breed dogs, but they do still require a moderate amount of exercise and mental stimulation. They are best suited to homes with yards where they can get in some playtime. Because of their high energy levels, schnauzer-pomeranian mixes are not suitable for busy families. They are better suited to families with older children who can handle their energy.
