Shairn-Inu Activity Requirements
The Japanese Shiba Inu is a small, agile dog that was originally bred for hunting. Today, they are a popular companion and do well in homes with children. While Shiba Inus are a relatively small, low-energy breed, they do still require regular exercise. They will benefit from a daily walk to burn off some energy and play time. They are also a very intelligent breed that enjoys learning new tricks and playing games. Playing games, keeping them mentally engaged, and providing plenty of toys is essential. A bored Shiba Inu can get into some mischief. While a Shiba Inu may not be suited to be your jogging partner, they are a great pet for an active family. A 20-30 minute walk or run once a day will keep your Shiba Inu healthy and happy.
