Sharbo History
The Shar Pei (Chinese: 沙皮 xiăopí, “sand skin”) is a Chinese breed of small, muscular, wrinkly, silvery-white dogs of the spitz type. The Shar Pei has a distinctive profuse, curly, nonshedding coat, and an alert, lively, and inquisitive expression. It is a versatile guardian of the home and garden and excels in agility and obedience. The breed is thought to have originated from the crossing of indigenous Asian dogs with European Bulldog-type fighting dogs. The first recorded mention of the name “Shar-Pei” in English was in 1926, and in 1935 the Pekingese Club was formed in England. The breed first gained recognition in Europe in the 1950s.

Sharbo Activity Requirements
Sharbos are a breed of dog that originated in Tibet. They are medium-sized, hardy, and muscular. While the Sharbos is not a high-energy dog, they do require regular exercise to stay happy and healthy. A daily walk or short, brisk jog is enough to keep a Sharbo in shape. While they do not need to run long distances, they need some aerobic exercise. A moderate amount of activity is all that is needed. While a Sharbo can be happy living in an apartment, they will appreciate having a yard where they can play. If you are looking for a good apartment or city-dwelling companion, a Sharbo may be the right fit.
