The Shelestie, also known as the Shelteese, or Sheltie, is a herding breed of dog that originated in Shetland, Scotland. The Sheleskie is recognized by UKC, AKC, CKCS, FCI, NKC, APRI, ANKC, ACR, and others. The Sheleskie is a medium-sized, energetic, agile and hardy working dog. The Sheleskie is an intelligent, alert, and affectionate animal.

Shelestie Physical Characteristics
The Shelestie is a small, moderately large, long-coated herding breed that typically stands between 20 and 23 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 50 and 80 pounds. They have a large, muscular body and a short, heavily coated, shaggy tail. Their head is broad with a slightly rounded skull, and a nose that is medium length. Their ears are erect and pendant. The Shelestie has brown eyes and their short, rough, double coat is white, blue, chocolate, or silver. They are smart, alert, and friendly dogs that make good watchdogs.
