The Shibadox is a new mixed-breed ‘designer’ dog that is a cross between the shih tzu and the dachshund. The Shibadox is a mixture of two of the most popular and well-regarded purebred dogs: the Shih Tzu and the Dachshund. The combination makes for a small, but athletic, animal with many great traits. The Shibadox is a cross between the Shiba Inu and the Spitz. They are medium sized dogs that stand 18 to 20 inches at the shoulders. They weigh between 20 and 30 pounds. Their head is proportionate to their body. Their ears are erect. Their tail is bushy. Their single layer, hard wind-resistant, water resistant, and weather-proof outer coat is black or red. Their undercoat is white.

The Shiba Inu is a highly athletic dog that originated in the mountains of Japan. They are a high-energy, intelligent, and independent breed that needs plenty of exercise and attention. A daily walk or jog is the best way to provide your Shiba with adequate exercise and socialization. This adventurous and energetic dog also enjoys hiking, running, and playing games such as fetch. While Shibas may enjoy some indoor play, they thrive in the outdoors.
