Shih-Poo Temperament and Behaviour

The Shih-Poo is a playful, devoted, and outgoing breed. They are confident, energetic, and curious, and are great with older children. They are generally sociable with new people and animals, and are generally easy to train.

Shih-Poo Activity Requirements

The Shih-Poo is generally a low energy, small dog. They are often described as “couch potatoes” and can become overweight if they aren’t provided with adequate exercise and care. A daily walk is sufficient for most Shih-Poos. While they don’t need lots of strenuous activity, they do need to interact with other people and stay active. If your Shih-Poo doesn’t receive enough attention, they may become bored and destructive. A well-socialized, well-trained Shih-Poo is usually a happy, healthy dog. While they don’t have excessive physical requirements, they do need attention and regular interaction with people.
