Shorgi Temperament and Behaviour
The Shorgi is an intelligent and fun-loving, yet calm, and good-natured dog. They are happiest when they are with their families, and can sometimes become attached to one member of the family in particular. They are generally quiet, but are capable of being vocal when necessary. They are moderately active and do not need a lot of room to run and play.
Shorgi Activity Requirements
The Shorgi is a herding dog that originated in Uzbekistan. While they are a relatively rare dog, they are gaining popularity in America. They are considered one of the rarest and oldest breeds of domesticated dog. While they are not a very active pet, Shorgis do require a moderate amount of exercise to be healthy and happy. A daily walk or a few games of fetch will keep a Shorgi fit and happy. Because of their size, a Shorgi is not recommended for homes with small children. They can easily knock over a small child, causing injury to the child and the dog. A home with a larger adult-only family or a home with older children would be better suited for a Shorgi.
