Shug Activity Requirements
The Scottish Highland Terrier is a high-energy, highly intelligent dog that is known for her independence and intelligence. She gets along with children and other pets, making her an ideal companion for many families. Most Scottish Terriers will do well with at least 30 minutes of vigorous activity each day. They are very active dogs and are capable of running and jumping over obstacles. If you are looking for a pooch who can keep up with an active lifestyle, the Scottie may be for you. In addition to an active play schedule, your Scottie will need regular walks. They are short-legged and compact, so they prefer to walk rather than run at top speed.
