The Silkinese is a fairly new, rare, and unknown hypoallergenic and non-shedding breed of dog developed in the United Kingdom during the 1990s. The Silkinese is a mixed-breed (or mongrel), but contains parts of several purebred dogs, including the Silky Terrier, Chinese Crested, and Havanese.

Silkinese Temperament and Behaviour
The Silkinese are sweet, playful and outgoing. They are friendly and get along well with children and other pets. They are easy to train, but they are not as responsive as the Yorkshire Terrier.

The Silkinese is a small, playful dog that makes a great companion. They are intelligent, affectionate, and loyal. While they don’t require a lot of physical exercise, they do like to stay active. A game of fetch or a quick walk around the block should do the trick. If you live in an apartment and are looking for a small, playful dog, a Silkinese may be right for you. This breed is best suited to apartment living or a home with a small yard. They do not need a great deal of exercise and can do well in just about any environment, as long as they have love and companionship.
